Meet Dr. Penina Bukiet

It's a pleasure to meet you!

I am a NJ and NY licensed clinical psychologist with extensive training working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.  I offer a warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can explore challenges, establish goals, and work together to attain them.

I earned my Masters in School Psychology and Doctoral Degree in School-Clinical Child Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and completed my Bachelors of Science at York University in Toronto, Canada.  I have worked clinically with people of all ages in settings such as private and public schools, therapeutic summer programs, outpatient clinics, and inpatient psychiatric facilities.  Through these varied experiences, a common theme is that I truly enjoy the opportunity to get to know each individual, their interests and passions, and harness their strengths to help them reach their goals.  As your therapist, I am committed to getting to know you as an individual, and tailoring the therapeutic experience to meet your needs, whatever they might be.

In addition to my private practice, I have served as a school psychologist in independent schools for over a decade.  My work in this area has allowed me not only to work directly with children, but also to collaborate with their parents, teachers, and other supporting adults.  I strive to incorporate this collaborative approach into my private practice as well, as a team approach is often beneficial in reaching therapeutic goals.
